Alturair is the manufacturer of the BD-5 aircraft kit. The BD-5 aircraft is a high-perfomrance single-seat plane; built in aluminum and has retractable tricycle landing gear with a low-wing monoplane which was designed by Jim Bede in the 1970’s.  The aircraft designed was small, highly maneuverable and fully aerobatic aircraft with the top speed ranging from 200-290 MPH (depending upon the builder’s choice of engine.)
